Westbury Groundbreaking Ceremony Marks the Significant Milestone for the 8-Townhome Community

June 13, 2018

Our Westbury project is a story about family legacy and a successful passing of the torch from the previous generation to the next.

On June 1st, the Gryphon team in Vancouver welcomed the owners of our Taiwan parent company for the groundbreaking ceremony at the Westbury site. The groundbreaking ceremony marks the significant milestone for Westbury, our mixed-unit project  in Vancouver West that features a thoughtfully designed, 8-townhome community in the prestigious Arbutus Ridge neighbourhood. These exquisite townhomes situated in the heart of Vancouver’s Westside will set a precedent in quality and innovation for our future developments in Vancouver. We are beyond excited to share this progress with our family and friends, a step that brings us closer to the project’s completion in Fall 2019.

Westbury, an 8-townhome community by Gryphon Development in the Arbutus Ridge neighbourhood is expected to complete in Fall 2019

Our CEO, Jason, and his father, along with similar father-son duo Ronald and Jeffrey Tremblay from TheGarage, the previous landowners of the Westbury site, attended the ceremony. Our prestige guests also included CBRE Group and AMC Project Development Ltd, whom we have ongoing working relationships with.

Ronald and Jeffrey of TheGarage are previous occupants of the site who have now expanded their business horizons in a larger space in Burnaby. Electric Meccanica, their partner in their new venture to service fully electric cars, brought along a fleet of the SOLO vehicles to display.  Ronald and Jeffrey shared details of their exciting new endeavour with our esteemed guests. With an ever-evolving business mind and adventurous leadership, they have decided to move to the new Burnaby space and this created a rare opportunity for our team to develop the Westbury community in the coveted Vancouver Westside, for which we couldn’t be more grateful for. With input from Ronald and Jeffrey along with the residents in the community, we are looking forward to seeing these timeless homes come to life and becoming a part of this tight-knit, heritage-rich Arbutus Ridge neighbourhood.
